I'm Laila Freeman, a journalist and creative writer from Southern California. Informing and positively impacting others is my engine in life and motivates my work.

I received my bachelor's degree in journalism from Cal State University, Long Beach in 2023. In 2025, I received my masters of fine arts degree in creative writing from Chapman University.

I have a plethora of editing experience, journalism bylines and published poetry. I like to say that poetry is my alchemy, while journalism is my science.
